Responsibilities:
- Assist on all EHS related matters
- Ensure company’s compliance to applicable environmental, occupational health and safety laws/regulations and other requirements.
- Identify, recommend, report, implement and assess safe work practices at the work sites
- Upkeep, maintain and coordinate the company’s WSH Management System in compliance with the WSH Act, relevant Regulations and Approved Codes of Practice (ACOP)
- Assist in carrying out accident investigation and developing reasonably practicable measures to prevent recurrences
- Submit weekly/monthly safety reports to Management for review and record purposes.
- Update and keep proper safety records, incident reports and statistics.
- Conduct regular inspection of worksite and recommend reasonably practical control measures at the workplace
- Reviewing of company method statement, risk assessments and safe work procedures including subcontractors documentation.
- Submit accident i-report to Ministry of Manpower and liaise with insurers on claim matters.
- Coordinate and conduct safety briefing, induction and training.
- Conduct safety awareness training/programmes/initiatives
- Handle all ISO 9001/14001/OHSAS 18001, BCA & Bizsafe level star renewal
- Monthly audit of company lodging units
- Any other ad-hoc duties assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Advanced Certificate / Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B) or equivalent
- Managing WAH / WAH Assessor
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Safety
- Excellent communication skills and must be able to converse in Mandarin to communicate with PRC/Chinese speaking workers
- Knowledge in ISO 9001/14001/OHSAS 18001 Standards
- Able to work independently with positive attitude
